On Monday 19th March, the newly organised CPN Social Group went on our first outing to Bray and Greystones. The day started early meeting at the Spire at 11am. We went to Connolly Station and hopped on a DART out to Bray, where we started our planned walk around to Greystones on the cliff walk. But before we could go too far we spotted a funfair! We had to stop and try out some rides! A few of the brave ones tried out some death-defying rides, while the rest of us just watched! A few of us were also lucky at a game of “Hook-a-duck”, winning the new unoffical mascot of the Social group, “Potato” the tomato!
We soon got underway and walked to the beginning of the cliff walk, where we had our sandwiches and made sure we were all set for our walk. We got going and while some of us weren’t quite as fit as others, we all enjoyed ourselves. We made good time and spotted some interesting things along te way- sadly for Tom we saw no porpoises or seals, but we’ll just have to go again soon!
We made it to Greystones, for a well desrved stop at a cafe for some chips and tea, and then came back on the DART to Dublin.
Our next group outing is planned for Sunday 15th of April. If you’re interested in comine along you can contact the CPN by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
